Classes for children 4-7 years of age that teaches basic dance movements, coordination, good posture and instills confidence.

We believe dance is essential for children
Dance classes improve a child's (17 and under) listening ability, memory, spatial awareness, and working in group environments. Dancing uses both sides of the brain simultaneously in a coordinated manner, one half is controlling the physicality and movement, the other the creative and artistic expression.
There is no doubt that dance is a very enhancing thing for a child’s creative, musical and artistic development, but studies have shown that children who dance score higher in mathematical and scientific studies too.
Dance can help calm children that suffer with hyperactivity disorders as well as those that suffer from self destructive behaviors. The act of dance calms and focuses their minds. Dance also awakens consciousness of beauty, lending new meaning to movement and form.
Children who are involved in dance will excel in their academics and tend to be more creative. The art of dance helps teach a child to focus, with creativity, and discipline.
Dance will help develop muscles, tone the body, improve circulation, improve posture, balance, coordination and promote greater flexibility. Dancing is highly physical, will increase stamina, strength and flexibility, improve coordination and balance, correct poor posture and increase cardiovascular health.
Overall health is also improved, as children who exercise benefit from deeper and more restful sleep and improved appetite. Flexibility is often overlooked as a benefit but can really decrease the chances of injury especially in an active child. Dance helps keep the body conditioned and the mind focused which heightens one's ability to perform other physical activities.
Dancing is highly social and children learn new communications skills, how to trust, cooperate and work as part of a team without having to compete with their peers. Dance improves sensitivity, understanding, appreciation, and consideration for others, both for their similarities and differences.
Dance can broaden your child’s horizons by introducing them to other people and help them better relate later in life to those they may face and also in their future careers.
